Is this for non-fiction, fiction, or both?
Right now, Prosed is focused on non-fiction — self-help, memoir, business, personal essays, and expertise-driven books. Fiction support is on our roadmap. If you're working on a novel, get early access and we'll let you know when it's ready.
Do I need existing material to start, or does the questionnaire help me build from scratch?
Both. If you've already been publishing — on YouTube, Patreon, newsletters, Substack, or a podcast — we pull content from those sources automatically and build your draft from what you've already created. If you're starting fresh, you can upload transcripts, notes, documents, or any original writing directly. Either way, the creative brief helps us understand your vision before we build anything.
What do I actually get at the end?
A complete, full first-draft manuscript — not a summary, not an outline, not a few chapters. A real first draft delivered to your private portal where you can read every chapter, leave comments, and get editorial feedback from Typo, our AI reviewer. When you're ready, export as PDF, ePub, or DOCX.
Will it actually sound like me?

Who owns the book?
You do. Always. Your content is used only to assemble your book. It's never shared, never used to train AI models, and never retained beyond your project. You can request deletion of everything at any time.
