How long we keep your data
We keep only what we need, for as long as we need it. Here's the full lifecycle of your content in our system:
Day 0 — You share your content
You paste a URL, upload files, or paste text directly. Your content is received and stored securely on our servers.
Hours 1-24 — Book assembly
The Inkwell, our proprietary pipeline, analyzes your voice, structures your book, and assembles a complete draft from your existing content.
Days 1-14 — Review and revisions
You review the draft in your personal portal and request changes. Your raw content is still accessible during this period to support rewrites.
Anytime — You request deletion
Use the deletion form or email us. All raw content (posts, uploaded files, drafts) is permanently removed within 48 hours. No questions asked.

No. Your writing is used only to assemble your book. We do not train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model using your content. Your content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API and Google's Gemini API during book assembly. Both providers' commercial terms prohibit using API data to train their models.
Who sees my content inside Prosed?
Only the Prosed system processing your project. We do not share your content with other creators, contractors, or third parties. Your writing is treated with the same confidentiality as a private manuscript sent to a publisher.
What file formats can I upload?
We accept PDFs, Word docs (.docx), plain text, CSVs, markdown, ZIP files containing multiple documents, and audio/video files (MP3, MP4, WAV, and more) which are automatically transcribed. You can also paste a URL to your blog or newsletter and we'll pull your content automatically.
What happens to my content after the project ends?
Your book and portal stay accessible for as long as you need them. Raw source content (your uploaded files and crawled posts) can be deleted at any time by using the deletion form. We never keep your actual writing for internal analytics.
I changed my mind. Can I pull out mid-project and delete everything?
Yes, at any time. Use the deletion request form. It takes under a minute. Choose exactly what you want deleted (content, drafts, all records, or everything), and we'll confirm removal within 48 hours. No questions asked. You can also email hello@tryprosed.com directly.
Does Prosed own the book it helps me create?
No. The book is entirely yours. Your original writing is yours, the assembled draft is yours, and the final book is yours. Prosed claims no ownership, license, or rights over anything we help you create.
