What We Collect

When you use Prosed, we collect information you directly provide to us and information about how you use the service:

• Account information: your name and email address
• Content you upload: newsletters, blog posts, and other creator content that you want transformed into a book
• Payment information: processed through Stripe. We don't store your credit card numbers—Stripe does that securely
• Usage analytics: how you interact with Prosed, collected via Mixpanel and Segment

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for specific purposes to make Prosed work:

• Build your book: your content is sent to Claude API (Anthropic) for AI-powered book generation
• Deliver your book: we send emails via Resend when your book is ready
• Process payments: Stripe handles all payment processing securely
• Improve the product: analytics data helps us understand which features matter most and where we can make Prosed better
• Support: we may reach out to help if something goes wrong with your book generation

AI Processing

Your content is processed by Claude API (Anthropic) to generate your book. Here's what matters:

• Anthropic does not use API inputs for training their models
• Your content is not stored by Anthropic after processing is complete

Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as it's needed to provide Prosed to you. Here's the breakdown:

• Your content and account information are kept as long as your project is active
• If you delete your account or project, we remove your data from our systems
• You can request deletion of your data anytime—just email hello@tryprosed.com or use our delete my data form
• We may keep anonymized analytics data longer for product insights

Cookies & Tracking

We use minimal tracking on Prosed:

• Session cookies keep you logged in while you use the app
• Mixpanel tracking helps us understand feature usage and improve the product
• We don't use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking
• You can opt out of Mixpanel analytics anytime by contacting us

Your Rights

You have control over your data. You can:

• Access: request a copy of all data we have about you
• Correct: update or fix inaccurate information in your account
• Delete: request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability: request your data in a portable format
• Opt out: stop receiving certain communications

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@tryprosed.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

Security

We take protecting your data seriously:

• All data is encrypted in transit over HTTPS
• Data is encrypted at rest in our database
• Access to your content is limited to the Prosed team
• We don't sell or share your data with other companies

While we use industry-standard security practices, no system is 100% secure. If you have security concerns, let us know immediately.

Children's Privacy

Prosed is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we become aware that we've collected data from someone under 13, we'll delete it immediately. Parents who believe their child has provided information should contact hello@tryprosed.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy as Prosed evolves. If we make material changes that affect your rights or how we handle your data, we'll email you at the address associated with your account. You can always find the most current version here. By continuing to use Prosed after changes, you agree to the updated policy.
